Mooroolbark Junior Ella Brown signs with the Essendon Bombers for the 2025 VFLW season

Young gun Ella Brown has officially signed with Essendon Football Club, marking an exciting new chapter in her football journey. A product of the Mooroolbark Football Club, Brown has steadily risen through the ranks, impressing with the Eastern Ranges in the Coates Talent League Girls competition before earning her opportunity at the next level.
Brown’s football career began with Mooroolbark Football Club, where she developed her skills and competitive edge as a junior. Her natural ability and dedication quickly set her apart, paving the way for her transition to elite junior football.
Joining Eastern Ranges, Brown became a key player in the 2024 Coates Talent League Girls season. Ella showcased her versatility across multiple roles, demonstrating strong tackling pressure and clean ball use. Across 10 games she accumulated 25 kicks, 35 handballs and 34 tackles. Her performances played a crucial role in the Eastern Ranges' run to the 2024 finals series, alongside recently drafted Mooroolbark Junior and new Hawthorn Hawk Grace Baba.
Now joining Essendon for the 2025 season, Brown is set to bring her tenacity and work ethic to the Bombers' VFLW squad. She joins as part of a new-look group of 21 recruits, complementing the club’s strong returning core.
Her journey from a talented junior at Mooroolbark to a rising star in the elite system is a testament to her hard work and determination. Essendon fans will be eager to see Brown take the field and contribute to the club’s continued success.
Essendon VFLW begin their season on the Friday the 18th of April at Port Melbourne.
