Our Senior Men have announced their Leadership Group for 2025

Mooroolbark Football Club is proud announce that Kane Noonan will continue as our Senior Men's captain for the 2025 season. This announcement comes on the heels of Noonan's exceptional performance in 2024, where he played a pivotal role in the midfield and was honoured with the prestigious Matt Polkinghorne Medal.

Harri Keeling and Cayden Maki have been selected as Vice-Captains for 2025. Maki returns for his second year in the Vice Captaincy role completing his first full season since 2022. A product of our Junior club, Cayden has spent time with both Box Hill Hawks and the Footscray Bulldogs over the last 5 years gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge at a higher level. Keeling came to the club in 2021 whilst part of the Eastern Ranges. A leader from the start he was an important part of our 2022 grand final run and continues to be an important personality driving success and standards at training and off the field.

Rounding out our leadership group is Shane Kennedy, a 7th year player with Mooroolbark and former Under 19 Coach, Jye Peacock, part of the Box Hill Hawks list and Jackson Gilbee, a 100 game Junior Club player.

Peacock and Gilbee are the youngest of the squad and featuring in the leadership group for the first time. Both made their debut in 2022 against Lilydale FC, Peacock spent time with the Eastern Ranges and completed his first full season of seniors in 2024 being in the best on ground 12 times in 17 games whilst also debuting for Box Hill. Gilbee spent his first full year of seniors in 2023 kicking 18 goals in 14 games before an injury cut his 2024 campaign short.

Jono "Scal" Fraser has also been named as our Captain for the Reserve Men in 2025. Scal first joined the Mustangs in 2023 whilst playing Big V Basketball for the Sherbooke Suns. An injury riddled 2024 gave Jono an opportunity for his body to recover from a few other lingering injuries, setting up a big preseason where he was able to drive standards and be a constant leader amongst a young squad.
